JAKARTA - The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) expressed support for the implementation of Jogja Halal Fest (JHF) #3. LPS also plans to present activities related to education and financial literacy during the festival.
This support was conveyed at a meeting between LPS representatives and the JHF#3 committee in Jakarta. Committee elements present included Budi Setyawan, Rahadi Saptata Abra, Mursida Rambe, and JHF#3 Treasurer Endah S.
The committee welcomes LPS's support because financial literacy is an important part of economic growth and the halal industry. Public understanding of banking, financial institutions and deposit protection needs to continue to be strengthened so that confidence in the financial system is maintained.
Mursida Rambe expressed his appreciation for the planned presence of LPS. He hopes that more financial and banking institutions will participate in the JHF#3 series which will be held on 4-6 December 2026 at Jogja Expo Center, Yogyakarta.
JHF#3 will be equipped with various supporting activities. The agenda prepared includes Aisyiyah Happy Gymnastics, healthy walking activities and games for non-bank financial institution players entitled "Whiten Jogja", as well as the Jogja Memorizing the Al-Qur'an program which involves thousands of students.
LPS involvement is expected to provide added value through education regarding deposit security and the importance of using legal and trusted financial institutions. This collaboration is also expected to expand the reach of financial literacy to MSMEs, communities, families and JHF#3 visitors.
