YOGYAKARTA - Jogja Halal Fest (JHF) #3 is directed at expanding the world community's attention to the potential of Indonesia's halal industry. After holding it twice, JHF is considered to have built important capital in the form of public recognition, community participation and business transactions.
Chairman of the JHF Steering Committee #3 Dr. Ir. Ahmad Syauqi Soeratno, M.M. conveyed that public attention to halal products continues to increase. According to him, halal is not only synonymous with Muslims, but is also related to guaranteeing health, security, peace and responsibility in the production and consumption process.
This capital will be strengthened in holding JHF#3 on 4-6 December 2026 at Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta. The committee is targeting tens of thousands of visitors while expanding the involvement of business actors, institutions, communities and international partners.
Syauqi emphasized that the high number of visitors needs to be accompanied by the presence of large-scale buyers. Transactions during the event are important, but JHF#3 must also generate sustainable trade relationships after the festival ends.
"God willing, buyers from abroad will be present at JHF#3. Therefore, Indonesian MSME and halal industry products must be strong and educated," he said in a meeting with Steering Committee members at the DPD RI DIY Representative Office.
The presence of foreign buyers is expected to open new market access for MSMEs and the Indonesian halal industry. To take advantage of this opportunity, business actors need to prepare product quality, production capacity, legality, certification, packaging, as well as the ability to meet international market standards and demands.
JHF#3 is expected to become an educational space as well as a business meeting that brings together producers, buyers, investors, financial institutions, government and communities. In this way, the awareness that has been formed can be translated into real transactions and long-term partnerships.
