YOGYAKARTA - Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Prof. Dr. Anggito Abimanyu expressed his support for the implementation of Jogja Halal Fest (JHF) as a long-term agenda.

This support was conveyed when Anggito met with representatives of the JHF#3 Steering Committee, Robby Kusumaharta and Mursida Rambe, during the launch of Jogja Inspira KADIN DIY and ISEI DIY at Punokawan Resto, Yogyakarta, on 30 August 2026.

According to Anggito, JHF has an important role in encouraging people to love and use halal products. Halal values are also increasingly widely accepted because they relate to health, safety, benefits and peace of mind for consumers.

"This is the value of blessing that we must always seek. Of course we continue to hope for His blessing," said Anggito at the meeting.

Anggito's support for JHF is not only aimed at organizing JHF#3. He hopes that JHF can take place in a sustainable manner, be held more regularly, and develop into an agenda that is taken into account by business actors from within and outside the country.

JHF#3 is scheduled to take place on December 4-6, 2026 at Jogja Expo Center (JEC), Yogyakarta. This event is designed to bring together halal industry players, MSMEs, financial institutions, government, communities, investors and buyers in a series of exhibitions, education and business meetings.

The committee hopes that Indonesian entrepreneurs who want to enter the export market can use JHF as a starting point to introduce quality products, build networks and meet potential partners. Support from institutions such as LPS is also considered important to strengthen public literacy and trust in the financial system.

With consistent implementation, JHF is expected to develop into an annual calendar of activities that connects the Indonesian halal industry with the global market.
