Road to Jogja Halal Fest #3 is strengthened through a halal area development program involving MES DIY, LPEK PP Muhammadiyah, G2R Tetrapreneur, and MBA FEB UGM Jakarta Campus. This program is directed at connecting local potential with service standards and a more complete halal ecosystem.
The three regional contexts mentioned in the program are Wukirsari, Kalasan, and Napak Tilas KH Ahmad Dahlan. Each region has a different character, so development does not only talk about product certification, but also governance, service quality, MSME readiness and human resources.
Halal Industrial Zone, Safe and Healthy Halal Culinary (KHAS), Muslim-friendly tourism, strengthening MSMEs, governance, services and human resources.
The results of regional development are planned to be brought to JHF #3 as an example of implementing a halal ecosystem at the local level. In this way, the festival can function as a promotional space as well as a meeting place for area managers, business actors, assistants, government and potential partners.
Wukirsari has a strength in crafts and community-based tourism experiences. Kalasan is in an area with high tourist and economic movement. Meanwhile, the KH Ahmad Dahlan Trail has historical value that can be developed through Muslim-friendly narratives, services and travel experiences. These differences require a non-uniform approach.
The development of halal areas requires more than ceremonial activities. MSME players need to understand material standards, production processes, hygiene, service, marketing and certification procedures. Area managers also need to develop a consistent division of roles, monitoring mechanisms and visitor experiences.
Collaboration with academics and supporting institutions can help develop potential maps, training needs and progress indicators. Meanwhile, the involvement of business networks is needed so that regional products and services have a market path after the mentoring process is complete.
This program is still in the development stage. The final impact needs to be seen from indicators such as the number of MSMEs that receive assistance, improvements in service quality, certifications completed, and partnerships that continue after the festival.
